??? Overreact much? Welcome to the world of fan fiction on the internet.
That was pretty tame to some of the crazy stuff I've seen...
I do agree in part that the mystery of Gwen has been built up so much, there is no way it will be satisfying. One thing we do know, the answer of what exactly happened to Gwen will not be found in Eye of the North... it will be in a bonus mission offered on the online store.
I suspect Gwen will just be a Mesmer Hero in Eye of the North. No more, no less.

Its not an overreaction its realistic. Obsession about a fictional character ala Lara Croft is very bizarre, but at least she is portrayed as an adult in a provocative manner. Obsession about a fictional child is a sexual deviant waiting to happen, particularly when there is nothing overly sexual presented in Guild Wars about her. Its called pedophilia, look it up.

Seriously, dude, you need to rent some adult anime or something.
This is nothing. And basically you're arguing that playing GTA will make me a car-jacking gangster. Art is not real life!
(and anyway, the sexual situations in the comic are of Gwen as an adult. So, no, not pedophilia!)
I'll never understand people's aversion to sex. Show a girl chopping someone's foot off, good. Sex with an adult woman, bad.

Get out and experience what the real world has to offer. I promise you its more than an "adult anime" or what GTA's hot coffee will do for you. Sex with a real woman is healthy, fantasizing about a cartoon or physical violence is not. If anything that link should be NSFW or removed from the thread entirely.

I'm married with a child.
I think I know something about real life sex, and the consequences and rewards of such activities.
So, fantisizing is unhealthy, huh? Missionary style only, and focus on her eyes. No dirty thoughts, for dirty thoughts will cause dirty deeds.
Come on. This is not child porn. This is a rather humorous comic that all takes place in a dream sequence (see ending). I really don't see how the comic could offend anyone, unless cartoon breasts offend you!
But I'm sure the link will be removed. This is America, after all, where Saw II can be shown in a theater, but a penis can't be.

What you do in your own personal life is your business. If you are going to quote me then at least read my post. Real world fantasies about real people in an adult context are fine, there is a booming industry in southern California for this very purpose not to mention a pair of magazine moguls.
However there is also nothing wrong with having a conservative value system, it speaks volumes about character. Would you show something like this comic to your child as a form of "sex ed"? Of course not. Its inappropriate you just can't (won't) admit it.

Well, my child being only 2 would not understand it. I would not show it to him because of the violence, which to me, is a much bigger concern than sex.
Honestly, I did not find it overtly sexual. Any sexual situation was implied. As I said earlier, it's only offensive if you find breasts offensive.
I think Americans in general are too stuck up on nudity, and not sensitive enough to violence. But that's just my opinion. You have yours, I have mine.
I took issue with you calling the art "pedophilia." I hope you can at least agree that it's not that.

I like it. Just make sure Gwen never has sex, or people will be upset....

Asuras and (adult) Gwen orgy... now we are getting somewhere.
Seriously though, if the Asuras are going to based on the Inca/Aztecs, I wonder if they will have sacrifices and stuff...

Its not art and its implied sexual content in relation to a minor, even if she is a fictional character. The "artist" is entitled to his freedom of expression but it treads dangerously close to what SCOTUS considers illegal not to mention immoral in this country. Like I said, you want to get your rocks off to a cartoon then go for it. Don't come on here taking the moral high ground pretending cartoon fetish behavior is average or normal.

OMG. That is absolutely ridiculous. And I'm really sick of your holier than thou attitude, like you have better morals then me.
I enjoy anime. I see some pretty twisted stuff there, and sometimes it crosses a line, but you know what? That's their right. They can draw WTF they want.
Who are you to judge what is "art" or not? You think the cartoon should be banned? Fine, but thank God the SCOTUS does not agree and still believes in some semblance to free speech in this country.
There's nothing there to "get my rocks off"! It's a cartoon. There's NO actual sex. There's a drawing of a woman naked, who is seducing a dwarf and lich. That's all it really is!
It is not illegal.

OMG Icy, you really need to get a woman (or man) and relax. We were told that Gwen "grows up" and people are talking about what she grows up into. Many stories and comics and such have started with people being kids and growing up having sex then babies and their kids doing the same. Get over yourself or go hide in your closet if you have to.
BTW: I thought the comic was very funny and with great artwork. I hope they don't delete it cause of this bonehead sexaphobic (or maybe just nipplephobic) poster.

Haven't you ever heard that art is subjective?
Once again read my post before you reply. I don't think the cartoon should be banned the artist has rights under our fine constitution. I do think that link should be flagged NSFW or even removed entirely from this thread. If you want to actively search for cartoons for your own personal (and private) sexual gratification even if they include naked children named Gwen then by all means do so you have that right.
My advice, if you don't want to continue this pointless argument then stop doing ninja edits and stop calling me out for taking offense to the deviant behavior. Its very simple, you stop I stop, and we agree to disagree.

That's what you said.
You said a cartoon drawing of a naked woman is "dangerously close to what SCOTUS considers illegal not to mention immoral in this country."
That's total BS. It is not close. It's not even in the same ballpark. It's not even the same game.
Re-read the Comic: "Time passes..."
This is NOT Gwen the girl. She's a woman. And there are only a couple of panels that show her naked, and none doing anything that could be considered "sex". (unless knocking off a dwarf's helmet is considered "sex" to you...)
All sexual content is implied, which means you have to imagine it.
Which I assume you've let your imagination get carried away...
(and please stop calling me a "deviant." I'm not. By any stretch of the imagination).

Icy, first off I think your holier then thou attitude is extremely annoying. Remember you started this arguement and nobody forced you to read the comic . I found it entertaining, mildly sexual (besides the Nipples, daytime soaps offer more sex) and a harmless journey into a young girls Fears/Aspirations. So you can continue you rant about how you are better then us and not a pediphile cause you disapprove of this art or you can leave it alone and let your current messeges say what you really mean. I know you have the right to your opinion and I have the right to disagree, One thing you don't have the right to do, however, is force that opinion on me or anyone else in this community, no matter how right you "think" you are.

I think Icymanipulator has some issues that need to be dealt with in a professional manner.
There were no naked children in the comic. Some sort of repressed fantasy coming to the fore.

Theres a lesson to be learned in all this I should have taken to heart when I first got going. Never argue with idiots they bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience. No apologies from me Mordakai, so stop pestering me over PMs. For the rest of you, enjoy your fetish pornography. With any luck they will lock this thread.
